INK FOR LEATHER
totally mix up together and easy to use

INK FOR LEATHER colors are totally mix up together and allow easy color matching. What is new is that INK FOR LEATHER colors are liquid, not powder chemicals as in the case of normal dyestuffs. This difference is a strength, they are easier to mix and pour, without running the risk of spread powder. By a range of fifteen colors is possible to obtain any kind of shade. We would like to point up that the range includes white color, which is not available as dyestuff, with also the possibility to make pastel/light colors both in section and in surface. If used on its own, INK FOR LEATHER WHITE 8501 allows to obtain unique white items, hardly replicable with the only normal white for drum.

15 colors, countless shades

The color matching has to be set as if the tone to be sampled was a normal drum dye, pouring the white ink directly into the mixture to get the pastel tone.

The total compatibility and the same degree of penetration allow to get a sampled color perfectly reproducible even in section. Starting with a direct comparison of the sample with a range which includes fifteen colors, by mixing is possible to get all the desired shades.

Below are some examples of four of the most required shade of brown.

Usage advices

Color sampling is carried out preparing the mixture by mixing the colors out of the drum. Little additions of color useful to change the tone of the sample can be made directly in the drum during the penetration dyeing, without running the risk of staining the leather. These additions in progress, however, may be performed only if the tone to be corrected is close to the original sample, regarding both dyeing yield and color shade. To intensify and correct the color flame, is always possible to do an additional top dyeing.

As in the case of a normal dyestuff, the dyeing yield is influenced by the type of retanning and by the article to obtain.
It’s recommended, as in the traditional procedure, a preliminary test on the leather surface; in this way it can be experimentally observed what is the percentage of INK FOR LEATHER color to use.
